The IEC Apprenticeship Training curriculum is

A comprehensive 4-year program that is reviewed and frequently
updated by the IEC National Apprenticeship &
Training Committee.
Approved nationally by the Department of Labor/Bureau of
Apprenticeship (BAT) and the State of Florida,
Department of Education/Apprenticeship Council
(SAC).
Approximately 30
credits are awarded to apprentices successfully
completing the entire 4-year program.
Based on 8,000
on-the-job-training hours and 720 hours of related
classroom instruction.
Offered by most
of our chapters throughout the country allowing
transferable credits.

Available only to
apprentices currently working with Participating
Employers in our program.
Currently taught
at our state-of-the-art training facility.
Taught by highly-committed and knowledgeable instructors who
are hired annually by IEC South Florida
Apprenticeship & Training Committee.
Requires students to pass a math & language test and be
certified in CPR in order to complete the program.
Overseen by an
active Apprenticeship & Training Committee that
determines policies and procedures.
Concerned about each apprentice’s progress and advises their
employer of their grades and attendance on a
frequent basis.

How you participate in our
program . . .
Employers --
Become a Participating Employer if you are not
already by contacting our Chapter Office.
Apprentices – First, must be employed by a Participating
Employer in our program. Then, complete & return
the Application for Apprenticeship by the
registration deadlines outlined in the section
entitled Tuition & Class Schedule from our
website.
